Our aim
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We consider accessibility from the start, rather than adding it afterwards.
What we have done
- Pages use clear headings, landmarks and a logical reading order.
- Everything can be used with a keyboard, with a clearly visible focus indicator.
- A “skip to main content” link is provided on every page.
- Text and interface colours are chosen to meet contrast requirements.
- Images that convey meaning have text alternatives; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Form fields have visible labels, helpful hints and clear error messages that are announced to screen readers.
- Animation is subtle, and is switched off if you have asked your device to reduce motion.
- Text can be resized up to 200% without loss of content, and pages adapt to small screens.
